AS THE LATEST U.N. climate summit begins in New York, a new, high-level global network of 500 prominent climate scientists and professionals has submitted a declaration that there is no “climate emergency”.
The group has sent a European Climate Declaration with a registered letter to António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.
Professor Guus Berkhout of The Netherlands, who organized the Declaration, said: “So popular is the Declaration with scientists and researchers worldwide that signatories are flooding in not only from within Europe but also from other countries such as the United States and Canada, Australia and New Zealand.”
The group’s letter warns the U.N. that “the general-circulation models of climate on which international policy is at present founded are unfit for their purpose”.
The Declaration adds that the models, which have predicted far more warming than they should (see diagram), “are not remotely plausible as policy tools”, in that “they … exaggerate the effect of greenhouse gases such as CO2” and “ignore the fact that enriching the atmosphere with CO2 is beneficial”.
The letter invites the Secretary-General to work with the global network to organize a constructive, high-level meeting between world-class scientists on both sides of the climate debate in early 2020.

There have been other situations where the panic button was pushed when there was no emergency.
:The oil crisis a few decades ago, when the Arabs jacked up the oil prices. The reserves were low, gas stations were out of gas. It was a manufactured crisis.
We have lots of petroleum reserves.
:Then there was “ The hole in the ozone layer”crisis. The ozone in the North Pole depleted in the winter and the ozone layer of the atmosphere in the South Pole also depleted in the southern winter. It was going to cause a global catastrophe.
When people realize that UV light turns oxygen into ozone and that the poles get no UV in the winter, then they must see that it’s a normal situation.
There was no crisis.
“Global warming” is occurring but this has happened before, back in the seventh century. So has global cooling as shown with four ice ages. None of it caused by people.
The oceans will rise as the icecaps melt. Another crisis?
When the ice in the ocean melts it only takes the space of the portion of the iceberg that is already in the water so it does not raise the water level. Only the ice on land will have any effect whatsoever. The Earth is 70% oceans and 30% land with less than 5% of the land in glaciers and icecaps. This sounds like only. 0.3 x 0.05 = 1.5%. Although significant, it’s not much.
Our government thinks Canadians should pay a carbon tax. Our country produces only a tiny bit of carbon compared to USA and almost nothing Compared to China. On the other hand, Canada’s boreal forest takes in more carbon than any other country in the world. We should not get a tax but get a bonus from the other countries.
CO2 is necessary in the food chain for plants to undergo photosynthesis. Every student who goes through school should learn this.

Global warming “viz” climate change is just another CON been generated by those who know nothing about this natural occurring event that has happened before in the lifetime of our planet- except for hoping they may benefit financially in some way. Climate changes have occurred on earth before — BEFORE man, BEFORE coal fired power stations, BEFORE industrialization, BEFORE the motor car — ask the so called “arm chair” experts how or why previous climate changes have occurred “yep” you guessed correctly- you do not receive an answer. Time people wake up to those who get a lift out of spreading fear among the people around the world and, go about their daily lives knowing “if” a climate change event does come’ nothing “absolutely nothing” anyone or Government taxes will prevent it from happening. Live for the day’ tomorrow will look after it’s self.
